Teaching in Hinterlands












Teaching is not an easy task. You don’t just merely teach a child but you need to touch the heart of every child inside your class.
Teaching in the hinterland is quite more interesting and self- fulfilling. The school is hard to reach but along the way a lot of funny and wonderful happenings may you experienced that you will never forget as part of your teaching career.
Teaching in the hinterland you need to have more patient, dedication, care and love for your learners. Most of the learners are belong to the indigenous group of people. You need to ride a motorcycle and hike long distance and mountainous area before reaching the school. Though it is hard but seeing your learners who are thirst and hunger to learn, you will never get tired. Teaching in the remote areas, you need to be resourceful and good teacher to them. Most of your learners went to school without food in their stomach and entering the school with their bare feet. You need to be a good motivator to them and guide them in realizing the importance of education to their life. Above all, teaching in the hinterland is very challengeable and self-satisfying experienced of a teacher. Seeing your IP learners smiling and believing that you as teacher to them can bring something difference in their lives.
